WARRANTY POLICY

STOX STICKS

Art. 1

COVERAGE

STOX Hockey warrants its sticks against manufacturing defects for a period of forty-five (45) days following the delivery date of the order, when the product is used under normal ice hockey playing conditions.

If a break resulting from a manufacturing defect occurs during this period, STOX will provide one (1) single replacement of the stick, free of charge. No refunds will be issued under this warranty.

For the purposes of this policy, a manufacturing defect means a break in the shaft or blade occurring in the absence of abnormal impact, including: delamination, spontaneous cracking, or a break occurring during a shot or pass executed under normal playing conditions.

To be eligible for a warranty claim, the damage must prevent the normal use of the stick. Defects that do not affect the performance or use of the stick are therefore not considered under a warranty claim.

Art. 2

EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover breaks or damage resulting from:

  • Contact with another player, a skate blade, a goal post, or the boards;
  • A blow intentionally struck against the ice, the boards, or the net;
  • Use on concrete, asphalt, dek hockey surfaces, or any surface other than ice;
  • A stick cut below the minimum recommended length, modified, heated, altered, or repaired by a third party;
  • Exposure to open flame, extreme heat, or prolonged exposure to the elements;
  • Normal wear and tear, as well as any aesthetic damage, including scratches, paint chips, and grip wear.

Also excluded from this warranty: sticks purchased used or resold by a third party, products provided for promotional or demonstration purposes, sticks provided as a replacement under a previous claim, and team or bulk sales, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Art. 3

CLAIM REQUIREMENTS

All claims must be submitted within the 45-day warranty period and include all of the following:

  1. Your STOX order number, which can be found in your order confirmation email (this warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser who placed the order on stoxhockey.com);
  2. A photograph of the serial number on the shaft, showing the break point in the same photograph;
  3. A photograph of the entire stick, horizontally aligned, clearly showing the break;
  4. A brief description of the circumstances of the break.

Incomplete claims will not be processed. An illegible or missing serial number will result in the rejection of the claim.

Art. 4

CLAIM PROCESS

  1. Submit your claim by email to info@stoxhockey.com, including all items listed in Section 3;
  2. A photo of the warranty number located on the shaft of the stick (H2510-00701), showing the break in the same photograph.
  3. If the claim is approved, STOX will ship a replacement stick of the same model and specifications. Should the exact model no longer be available, STOX reserves the right to provide a comparable model of equal or greater value;
  4. STOX may require the return of the defective stick prior to shipping the replacement, or ask the customer to retain it for a period of up to ninety (90) days for inspection purposes.

Replacement sticks are not covered by any new warranty. This warranty is limited to one single replacement per stick purchased.

Art. 5

DETERMINATION AND RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

STOX Hockey determines, at its sole discretion, whether a break results from a manufacturing defect. STOX reserves the right to refuse warranty service to any person who, in STOX’s reasonable opinion, abuses its products or this policy. No person or third party is authorized to modify, extend, or expand the terms of this warranty.

Art. 6

LEGAL WARRANTY

This limited warranty is in addition to the legal warranty provided by the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) and does not replace or limit it in any way.
